Retro Hardtails are fun mountain bikes from an era that got people excited about mountain bikes. While they’ll get smoked by the trail bikes on dh trails, they’re extra fun and effecient at cruising and climbs, while still being able to explore trails and are the perfect Okinawa adventure bike.

Born in 2007ish of 4130 Sankyo steel and handmade in Poland, this set of tubes has come back to Japan where it handles the trails here like it was meant for it. This is the guide’s bike of choice (also the only bike since building it in 2008). Capable of smoking the dh trail while still a joy to cruise around on for hybrid and urban rides.
